Is tragedy, and this canadian flick over rims the firebuckets again and again, in this story about love, marriage, occupation, wildfires, catastrophes, evacuations, OCD, paedophillia, social media, chatrooms, sexuality, social branding,. police and psychology. its a well made film with outstanding efforts made by the male and female lead actors , and their way of telling and especially showing the graveness and gruel feelings, and at the lowest point of emotional connectiveness are so cold and skinned open that you might need a break in the show. there will come reviews that will scream out that this film is heroirating the pedophiles in society, but fortunately it isnt. in the film youre never shown any actual scenes of pedophellic nature, you just know that the main male looks at and communicates with pc and cellphone, the rest is up to us to decide.. pedophiles are dealing with a mental disease, remember that, it can be treated, but may not be forgiven. i think the acts of pedophilia are cruel and unforgiveable, but we need to spread some limelight on the subject also on the silverscreen. the wildfires can be used as a methaphore ashes to ashes, from dust to dust,, and everything might give new hopes and growth, there are hope in a hangmans rope( im not fluid in the english sayings) and when healing has started things might get better. well i'm a grumpy old man, that had no expectations than the keyword wildfire for entering this view, and i didnt expect feeling so grave near the end of it. its slow and sad, but still a recommend
