Road trip gone wrong with no holds barred gore

I just finished rewatching Hacksaw and wow man! It has all practical effects and it's done well. Looks realistic so I have to give credit on that. I dislike CGI for the most part. It usually takes me out of the film because it looks really fake. I like that the story's key theme is it's something we've all done...gone on a road trip (and when it goes south...good god!!). With every good horror story it has elements of things we've all experienced. This has the road trip to meet up with family to surprise them with news, and the realistic relationship between its main characters. They felt like a real couple because they love each other and know how to dig at each other to drive the other one crazy. Felt like my last relationship. I like the look of the film because it has a dirty grittiness that reminds me of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The gore is in your face and doesn't hold back. All I'm going to say is you start off on a high note and what an ending!! For all you gore hounds out there this is one you don't want to miss. If you like the stuff in Saw, Rob Zombie films and Hatchet then Hackaw will definitely have a place in your heart. Yes, this is a slasher, but it also has supernatural elements and some type of monster/fiend named Happy. I love that it's left to your imagination at this point, but I want to find out more! Nice job by the actors Amy Cay and Brian Butler giving their characters a believable feel. I saw that this is the director Anthony Leone's first full length film. That excites me as a horror fan because I can only imagine what he has in store for us in the future. Now, is this movie going to change lives and win best picture at the Oscars? No, but it's what all us horror fans love. It's honest and not trying to be something it isn't. So if you're down for some gore and escapism and who isn't at this point then give Hacksaw a watch. If you're a true horror fan...You Won't Be Sorry!!

You'll never look at your tool set the same...

WARNING! This movie is not for those with weak constitutions!!! Here's the way it is: if you're the kind of person who needs CGI and multimillion dollar effects and production in order to enjoy movies - you're probably not into gore movies anyways. The rest of you will enjoy Hacksaw! The cast and crew put as much blood, sweat, and tears into making this blood curdling indie horror film as the horrifying characters did killing everyone!

So I just finished watching "Hacksaw" all I can say is, "wow"! It had that 1980's, slasher movie in its prime, feel to it. The director has plenty of inspiration, from the masters that came before him. Anthony learned from and drew from, what true horror fans crave and hunger for in the art of a really good horror movie. No cheap jump scares here. Just a cinematic experience, a rollercoaster if you will, into the madness and the macabre of an up and coming director with a vision and a dream to tell and create good films that he, can be proud of and ones that the audience will no doubt keep coming back for more. It's star, Amy Cay was really good too, she has all the attributes to earn her a title as SCREAM QUEEN. I wish the movie was longer, but the story was told directly on point with no wasted space to fill in between. For a low budget film, nothing went to waste. Even from the smartest of budgets, makes the film and everybody who works behind it all that more creative to work with what they have, and the final product is better for it. I can't wait to see what Anthony, Amy and the those behind the scenes come out with next. I've already got my ticket pre-ordered. When people see the name ANTHONY LEONE on big bold marque letters, in a new film he is releasing, his fans will know that it is a good product worth their movie and time. This film is worth everybody's attention and those who aren't familiar with his work will be, with no seat belt or safety harness, in for one hell of a ride.
