A teenager takes on his own investigation of a murder in Washington D.C. November Criminals is a boring and terrible film about a teenager's sex life with his girlfriend when on the same time he tries to become 'Sherlock Holmes' and that's the problem with the movie right there. It tries to be a romantic comedy and on the same time a mystery crime investigation movie and fails in both parts. The acting wasn't terrible to be honest but the film's terrible script and plot does make up for a disappointing movie and a talented cast that gets wasted. (0/10)

Not what i was expecting..
Painfully boring
Ansel Elgort has been an actor that could almost do no wrong over the past few years where as Chloe Moretz was a talent who is slowly fading into the abyss. I wanted to like this movie and gave it every chance to succeed however it is just painfully boring and nearly unwatchable. Ansel's mum died and then his friend is gunned down in a coffee shop. Ansel then goes on an endless search to try and find the person who killed his friend. Ansel and Chloe's friendship is never really explained and then for some bizarre reason they become F buddies. There sex scenes are full on cringe and there is absolutely no chemistry between them whatsoever. It's odd too because they had such great chemistry in 2013's Carrie. Both Ansel and Chloe have over the top irritating parents who's roles serve no other purpose than to annoy the viewer. Finally there is no action, no suspense, no drama just two imbeciles wandering around trying to solve a murder. The dialogue is comically bad at times. Garbage.
Baby Driver turns detective
Ansel Elgort who scored so well in Baby Driver as the young getaway driver in that multi-caper film plays the lead here in November Criminals. After losing his virginity to Chloe Grace Moretz he learns that a friend from school was shot down execution style on his job in a cafeteria. It really unnerves him and Elgort is a sensitive kid, college bound and now with a new girlfriend. But he feels that the shooting is going to be put aside and turn cold on the already crime ridden Washington, DC police. Elgort really ticks off all the authorities, police, educational and even his widowed father. Not to mention the mother of Moretz, Catherine Keener also raising her as a single parent. In the end he finds out he didn't know the friend he had as well as he thought and it almost costs him his life. Both Moretz and Elgort are an attractive couple and I'm agreeing with the other reviewer who said he thought they might be an off screen item. They certainly did have good chemistry together. Look for a nice performance from Danny Flaherty as a former schoolmate of Elgort who has dropped out for the lucrative trade of illegal pharmaceuticals. He looks like he's own best customer. And the shooter Phillip Ettinger is also memorable. Ansel Elgort could have a big future in the cinema.
