My wife and I really liked this, especially watching it together. We stopped it many times to interpret what was going on, or even just to be like HFS, WTF just happened! The casting was wonderful -- the characters really seemed to inhabit their skins and characters, some of them quite sleazily so. But even the sleaze was part of a fuller picture of the person. This might seem weird but I am reminded of American History X. So many disturbing or surprising scenes from both movies stick with me, and will stay with me for a long time. I'll watch this again one day, and will follow the actors with interest in their careers. I find myself rooting for them after this one for some reason.

This is a quirky and edgy film. I had a few belly laughs as well.

In PAINT we have 3 young artist .. looking for inspiration and intellectual fulfillment through 'art'. The 3 young artist soon lean that the 'art world' is more about business than being truly creative and inspired. Dan, Kelsey, and Quinn - the 3 artist are seeking inspiration thru suffering as taught by their professor. But they soon discover all the suffering will never inspire - inspiration comes thru imagination. And the art community is as heartless and greedy as anything else. PAINT is a bit lacking in actor ability but this issue pales under power of the films plot! I was pulled into this story from the start - Dan is a disturbed boy, Kelsey thinks she can schmooze her way into what she wants, and Quinn has chosen to take a dangerous path via Dan! Watch this one!
