A heartbreaking look at a pop icon's legacy

The New York Times did an excellent job and revisiting Spears' career through the #metoo lens and highlighting the constant misogyny she dealt with from a young age all the way until now. It will give you a newfound respect for her, one that is well overdue.

Free Britney

Britney Spears have been framed by her father and the California Probate Court, the construction of the conservatorship was unlawful and fraudulent, Judge Reva Goetz denied her 6th amendment right "the right to hire a legal counsel" and waived her right to 5 days notice for a chance to contest the conservatorship, denied due process, deprived of property, deprived of liberty, denied right to confront accusers, denied right to trial, unlawfully confined and isolated, unlawfully chemically restrained. It was clear a set up to get a hold of her million dollar empire, in the petition to place the conservatorship her father claimed she had "early onset dementia" but for 13 she proved to be a high functioning individual recording 4 albums, going on 4 worldwide tours, judging on xfactor, promotional tours all over the world, multiple appearances in tv shows...etc how is this woman is placed on a conservatorship that is designed for the "gravely disabled"???? It's obviously set up to exploit her money and control her in the most inhuman way. Britney Spears situation has been stripped from every basic civil right for more than a decade and everybody is sitting and watching doing nothing, this is human rights issue and she should be able to live her life freely

Britney Deserves Her Freedom

I HIGHLY recommend the review written by Patricia Grisafi. Watching this breaks my high school and grown up heart. Britney is a year older than I am and her life, and the lack of control that she has had is maddening. This NYT documentary sheds an unbiased light on a movement that 2 years ago, I thought was conspiracy based. Now, I just can't wrap my mind around the power she should have but it's all been stripped away. She's been deemed hysterical and crazy. These are terms that are historically used to control and subdue women. She deserves her freedom.
