To be honest, I didn't know what to expect with this film. The poster was cool looking but the synopsis felt...generic. Within the opening minutes, I could tell this wasn't really your average slasher film. At least not the one the synopsis made me think it was. I thought it was refreshing to see this slower approach to a slasher set up. You get to know some of these characters well which makes it more impactful when they die which can be BRUTAL. Everything starts getting anxiety ridden the closer the home invasion actually happens. There's eyes watching these characters at all times and a little Black Christmas homage of heavy breathing and foul language in our bad guy really ties everything together in the first half then in the second, it becomes a whole different beast. It was a better approach than some other similar indie horror films I've seen especially this year. I do think there are some issues as with any horror film. There is some bad acting and some of the film leans a little too hard into the realism factor with the darkness but it worked very well for me. The ending is bound to irritate people but if you were with the characters and paying attention, it works perfectly. I thought it was a good movie overall.

A slow burn home invasion film
Slow but good
By the poster, I expected a cheap slice and dice kind of movie but I ended up with something a little better. It's way more talky than I expected but it made the last half of the film that much better especially when they start getting picked off. I will say, there is a scene in the middle of the movie that REALLY bothered me. No spoilers but it is definitely as disturbing a death scene can be. It reminded me a lot of The Strangers and The Rental. If you like low budget horror movies, it's worth a watch.
Worst movie I seen this year
First... I saw it was rated 7.0 on IMBD and read a review that gave it a 10. I saw this abonimation and I can guarantee EVERYONE that 7.0 and a 10 for review is rigged... The acting (specially the younger brother) was sooo bad. The story ... well there is not any... only some chit chat about ...nothing.... 50 minutes of that.... Then the last 25 minutes there is some "action" of which at least 15 minutes it happens in the dark, so you just can not follow exact what is happening.... MOST annoying is that it all happens in the middle of nowhere and suddenly you can hear some air-raid alarm go off (????) !!! I can give a ton of more reasons why this is a really bad waste of everything but above is enough to avoid this!!...
